Local Artist Goes Beyond the Canvas

Have you ever met someone who knows NO Boundaries?  Yesterday, my sister and I met such a woman.  She is the type of woman that every woman should know.  Her warm smile draws you in, her creativity captivates you, and her dynamic personality is nothing short of appealing!  If that were not enough, she is gifted and dared enough to pursue her passion! She is JULIE MICHEL, an artist, a fashion designer, a pilates instructor, a wife, and a mother!  Oh, and she can sing too!  She used to be a lead singer in a band, and she is just as beautiful as she is smart.  Simply stated, this woman has it going on, and she is more than willing to share her vision behind JULIE MICHEL DESIGNS.

Julie tapped into the artist in her about 11 years ago when she took an art class with a friend.  She believes that everyone has creativity; it just needs to be found!  Well, I think it's fair to say that Julie has not only found her creative edge, she has become a successful business woman utilizing her amazing gift!  She has a solid clientele who look forward to her collections!  And I love that she did not limit her artistic ability to the canvas!  This visionary sets herself apart in the fashion industry by digitally printing her artwork for her women's ready-to-wear clothing line.  Her designs are unique, one of a kind, and showcase her artistic ability.  Check it out for yourself at www.juliemicheldesigns.com

Spring UP at BR

Spring is here!!  I love this season.  It's all about COLOR:  Lights, Brights, Pastels, Prints, and Neons.  It's easy to fit into the fashion trend this season because all you have to do is choose a color that looks fabulous on you, and you are in!!  Check out my recent fashion finds! 

MOORE Creativity

Kimberly Moore loves, loves to be creative.  She has always spent her free time "making something" in addition to her full time job as a personal trainer.  Her fascination for vintage jewelry, however, has stood the test of time.  Her endless pursuit of learning more about jewelry from the 1920s to the 1950s became her passion, and three years ago she decided to make it a business.  How, you may ask?  Well, Kimberly acquires vintage pieces from all over the world and handcrafts them into rings.  Her rings tell a story, hence her "rings with history" motto.  She is able to tell you who designed them, the decade they were designed, and the inspiration behind the design.

Her imagination and hard work has certainly paid off, as her rings are sold in boutiques in Highland Park, Lakewood, and Uptown.  And Kimberly Moore is not slowing down.  Her success has only inspired her to do more!  I guess we will have to wait and see what she comes up with next, but until then check out her story and her glamorous rings at www.kimberlymoorerings.com!!

These were the words that came to mind when I met the owner of a design studio off of Fairmount in Dallas.  For those of you who do better with landmarks, her studio is close to Stanley Korshak!  Her work is as stunning as she is!  With a resume that includes Stanley Korshak and Highland Park Village, I'm not the least bit surprised.  And may I mention that she has been featured in magazines!  Her customers become friends.  A dress to her is what a building is to an architect.  What starts out as a sketch slowly becomes a customized design woven into utter perfection.  Every detail is precise and intentional, and the customer's vision and personality is also captured so that the end result is not simply a beautiful dress, but rather a perfect expression of who she (the customer) is.  A statement of beauty, confidence, style, and individuality that is breathtaking to those who surround her for the evening.  Just imagine this scenario for a moment...that woman is you!
